📖 The Book of Flames, Chapter 12

And it came to pass in the land of the coast, that the winds rose mightily, and the hills were consumed with fire.
The embers of the Lachman blaze, though thought extinguished, lay hidden in the earth, waiting for the breath of the storm.
And when the tempest came, the sparks leapt forth, and the Palisades were set aflame.
Great was the destruction: homes, sanctuaries, and schools fell, and the people fled in sorrow.
Twelve lives were taken, and multitudes wandered without shelter, crying unto heaven for mercy.
And the leaders of the city stood in judgment, some accused of neglect, others of delay, and the people demanded answers.
Yet amidst the ashes, children returned to their learning, for a new house was raised to replace the one consumed.
And the elders spoke, saying: “Let us learn from the fire, lest it return again with greater fury.”
For the covenant of stewardship is this: that man shall guard the earth, and not despise its warnings.
And the people prayed: “Deliver us from the flame, O Lord, and grant wisdom to those who govern, that safety may dwell in our land.”

In essence: If the Bible were written today, the Palisades Fire would be told as a parable of hidden dangers, human responsibility, and resilience rising from devastation. It would frame the fire not only as a tragedy but as a divine warning about stewardship, justice, and renewal.
