Advocacy & Policy Reform | RV Lives Matter

Challenging Discriminatory Parking Laws

We actively challenge ordinances and lobby local governments to achieve **humane, housing-first policies** for vehicle residents in Inglewood and across California.

Our Mandate: Policy Reform

RV Lives Matter focuses on systemic change, working through legislative channels and community pressure to dismantle laws that criminalize poverty and vehicular residence.

Stop Unjust Ticketing

We work to repeal overly restrictive time limits (e.g., 10 PM to 6 AM bans) and excessive fine schedules that trap low-income residents in cycles of debt.

Advocate for Permitting

We lobby for the creation of fair, resident-based parking permit systems that recognize the RV as a primary residence, ensuring stability and local access.

Promote Housing-First Policy

We push local councils to adopt models that prioritize providing safe havens and services (like safe parking lots) over punitive measures like citations and towing.

Current Focus: Inglewood Municipal Code

We are currently focused on amending Inglewood ordinances that restrict RV length and impose strict overnight prohibitions, which disproportionately affect our community.
